I got the sense that the book is geared toward runners, but I've been about 85-90% paleo for almost a year and have replaced about 15 lbs of fat with about 10 lbs of muscle. I seriously feel like a new person, at age 32. Much is due to my Crossfit and Oly workouts, but I believe that reloading my body post-workout with some BCAA (usually eggs) and dense carbs (sweet potatoes) - per that book - has allowed me to come and hit it again sooner, harder. If I stay and chow a bunch of bread or something, I feel extra sore, lethargic, and it sets me back several days. I don't ramp-up for events so I can't comment on that part of the book, but the overall diet is solid.
